This Privacy Policy describes how Crostic Puzzle (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
The App does not require you to create an account. No name, email address, or personal profile is collected from you directly.
Game Progress Data (stored locally on your device) All gameplay data — including completed puzzles, coin balance, XP, level, daily streaks, achievements, hint usage, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.
Device Identifiers and Usage Data We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data including:
This data is collected in aggregate and is used solely to understand how the App is used and to improve the user experience. Firebase Analytics may associate this data with an advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) on your device.
Crash Reports We use Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect crash reports and error logs when the App encounters an unexpected failure. These reports include device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace of the error. They do not include personally identifiable information.
Remote Configuration We use Firebase Remote Config (provided by Google) to deliver configuration values to the App (for example, controlling whether certain features are active). This service does not collect personal information.
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:
Ad serving is subject to Google’s own privacy practices. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device’s advertising settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android).
In-app purchases (coin packs) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or process your payment card details. Purchase confirmations are handled by Google Play and communicated back to the App to credit your coin balance.
If you grant notification permission, the App schedules local daily reminder notifications on your device. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device and do not require sending data to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in the App’s Settings screen or in your device’s notification settings.

Each provider processes data under their own privacy terms with Google LLC.
On-device data (game progress, settings) persists until you uninstall the App or clear the App’s data through your device settings.
Analytics and crash data collected by Firebase is retained by Google according to their standard data retention policies, typically 2–14 months depending on the data type.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
All game data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted over the internet by us. Data shared with Firebase and Google AdMob is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. We take reasonable technical measures to protect information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Advertising: You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier through your device settings.
Notifications: You can disable daily reminder notifications at any time in the App’s Settings screen or in your device’s system notification settings.
Analytics opt-out: You can opt out of Firebase Analytics collection by disabling advertising measurement on your Android device (Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID).
Data deletion: Since the App stores all game data locally on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing App storage in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Crostic Puzzle → Storage → Clear Data).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
